This policy applies to the personal information of all those who use the Scikoop platform: research coordinators, potential participants, EDI partner organization representatives, and other users of Scikoop Inc. services.
For the purposes of this policy, personal information is information concerning an identifiable person collected via the Scikoop platform, including user profiles, research project data, participation information, and community engagement data.
Name, first name, title, institutional email address, affiliations, research project information (title, description, team, institution, aggregated sociodemographic data of participants).
Optional demographic profile (age, gender, ethnicity, location, etc.), research preferences, engagement history, behavioral data from platform use.
Organizational information, contact details, mission, expertise, populations served, collaboration data.
The Scikoop platform collects personal information to: provide EDI assessment and community engagement services; facilitate connections between research teams and communities; generate personalized EDI improvement recommendations; ensure project monitoring and tracking; detect and correct representation bias; maintain platform security and integrity.
Your information is used exclusively for the purposes described in this data governance framework: EDI analysis of research projects, generation of algorithmic recommendations, facilitation of community engagement, performance monitoring and service improvement, compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
The platform applies strict protection principles: data compartmentalization according to their nature, systematic anonymization and pseudonymization, access limitation according to the principle of least privilege, multi-layer encryption of all data.
The platform only shares your personal information with your explicit consent and in the following cases:
No personal data is commercialized or sold to third parties. Anonymized aggregated data may be used for scientific research and improvement of EDI knowledge.
When registering on the Scikoop platform, you explicitly consent to the use of your data according to the described terms. Your consent is granular: you can choose what information to share and with whom. You maintain full control over your privacy preferences through the platform interface.

The Scikoop platform implements the most advanced security measures: TLS 1.3 encryption for communications, AES-256 encryption for storage, multi-factor authentication, real-time access monitoring, secure automated backups, Quebec hosting compliant with ISO 27001 standards.
Data is retained according to differentiated periods: active project data (project duration + 2 years), active user profiles (as long as the account is used), inactive profiles (deletion after 1 year of inactivity), certification data (7 years), security logs (3 years).
This policy may be modified to reflect platform developments or regulatory changes. Modifications are communicated via the platform and by email. The current version is always available at www.scikoop.com.
